Clint Deckard

Clint Deckard is a farmer in Ashley Clinton, CHB.  His interest in local water storage issues began in 2012 following his attendance at a HB Regional Council 'Tukituki Choices' presentation*, which set off his ‘BS Detector’.  Clint was a member of both the Tukituki Leaders Forum and the Tukituki Taskforce, CHB District Council-initiated groups charged with investigating local water issues. As Chairperson of the Inglis Bush Community Trust Clint has seen first-hand the devastating impact of poor water management on our environment, and believes that we as a community can do better.

  

*Tukituki Choices was a Regional Council document which explored water storage options for CHB, and promoted the Ruataniwha dam as the preferred choice.
